Located between the mountains of northern Puerto Rico, was the most powerful radar in the world and currently home of a 12m antenna, LIDAR lab and Optical facilities. Scientists from different parts of the planet used the 305-meter reflector to pick up radio waves from regions where stars, planets, distant galaxies and the atmosphere are formed. Wooden Cabins: Bachelor & Family Units

We have 6 cozy wooden cabins for adventurers, walkers, bikers and cyclists or as a family / romantic getaway. There are cabins available with two bedrooms and can sleep up to six guests in comfort. The deck area outside is great for relaxing and admiring the beautiful view!
At night you can even see the Milky Way thanks to the lack of light in the surrounding areas.

North VSQ's

The lodging facilities include 12 comfortable private rooms in a two floor building very close from the Arecibo Observatory's main entrance. We called them North VSQ's and they all have the amenities that you are looking for, including 1 bathroom with hot water, AC/Heater, 1 Queen Bed & 1 Full Sofa Bed or Two Queen Beds depending on the selected unit, TV with Netflix, Small Fridge, Bread Toaster, Coffee Maker, and wired Internet. Linens & towels included.
As part of the amenities, this area includes a small shared pool and a BBQ gazebo.

Cafeteria Rooms

We also have 5 comfortable private rooms, garden view, located near the cafeteria of the Arecibo Observatory. This private rooms has 1 bathroom with hot water, and AC/Heater. We have three rooms with 2 Bunk Beds and two rooms with Double Beds, TV with Netflix, Small Fridge, Bread Toaster, Coffee Maker, and wired Internet.
